Metallic guitar riffs punch through layers of synths and keyboard stabs, with pounding drums and bass lines forming the firm foundations of many a Santiago song. What makes them unique is the emotional and emphatic vocals of lead singer Luke, and the quick, sharp vocals of lead guitarist Matias when he steps up to take lead duties. It would be all too easy to compare Santiago to the usual suspects for indie bands these days, however the band themselves draw influences from a number of different sources and like to be thought of as bringing a new and unique sound to indie and alternative music.
